Welcome!

That’s me!

Welcome to the VolunteerLocal blog! VolunteerLocal is an online volunteer registration and database system that cuts out the “middle men”–Excel, poster boards, and sharpie markers, to name a few–by completely automating the volunteer sign-up and confirmation process. We offer a fully functional free version of our software and value-added versions at a price to fit any budget. Check out our live demo to see what the volunteer sees.

My name is Kaylee and I’ll be authoring most of these blog posts for VolunteerLocal. If you’d like to keep updated with our blog (and I’ll give you a couple of good reasons why you should in just a moment) you can follow me (@kayleecat) or VolunteerLocal (@volunteerlocal) on Twitter.

This picture highlights my recent lemon obsession. And this is the team!

In this blog, we hope to provide relevant articles, tips, spotlights and a community forum for our users. We want to empower your event to success in any way we can, and a blog seems like the perfect outlet to create a hub of information for volunteers, coordinators and event planners alike. Most importantly, this blog is interactive. We encourage comments below (click “Leave a Reply”) and even e-mails (kaylee@volunteerlocal.com). If you’ve got feedback, a critique, or a great story to share about your event, please let us know! We’ll dedicate an entire post to you as part of our “Client Spotlight Series.”

In fact, we’ll be diving right in with a client spotlight in a couple of days. Check back soon!
