Just like a Facebook relationship status, we here at VolunteerLocal understand the significance between going public or staying private. That’s why the Public Landing Page allows you to list all of your events under one URL, so you don’t have to send separate links to separate pages. And we give you total control over what is and isn’t listed.
For organizations that have multiple events throughout the year, the Public Landing Page is powerful for both your current and potential volunteers. It’s a one-stop-shop that can be easily updated – without having to update volunteers with new URLs.
To perfect your Public Landing Page, go to Account in your navigation bar and select Settings. Your URL is listed at the top – it’s short, sweet, and to the point. Underneath, choose what content to display at the top of the page that is relevant to all events.
Ready to go public? Go to the Event Detail page for each of your events (under Events->Your Events->Event Detail). The first radio button under Optional Settings is for Public Event, which gives you the option to “List this event on your public landing page.”
Want to keep things private? VolunteerLocal automatically sets each new event created as “private,” ensuring events will never go public unless you approve. Private events can only be found at a specific URL (listed on the Your Events page), which you can send to those volunteers that you’re ready to go steady with.
Going public can be scary, but it doesn’t have to be with VolunteerLocal. List your events on your Public Landing Page, and let your volunteers land upon the perfect volunteer opportunity.
